GUITAR CLASSES IN PURCELLVILLE, VIRGINIA

SHAMROCK MUSIC SHOPPE proudly presents

KARL STRAUB'S GUITAR CLASSES

Instructor Karl Straub teaches guitar techniques that can help you take your guitar playing to the next level. Classes will be geared to the intermediate guitarist. The focus will be on improving your playing top to bottom, beginning with practice tips to start you improving right away. We'll work on various techniques, and focus on "blind spot" issues that many players struggle with. Along with technical information that will apply to any style of playing, classes will also deal with guitar techniques that are associated with specific genres like Rock, Blues, Country, Jazz, Roots, etc. We'll also work on using guitar effects and amps to get different kinds of guitar tones.

Straub will also talk about his specialty, combining aspects of different musical styles to develop your own individual sound. Want to throw a little country picking into your rock playing? Want to play blues like real blues players do? Want to learn just enough jazz to make your rock solos a little hipper? Straub can help.

Straub's guitar classes are ideally suited to players with some experience. If you have played for a while, but are looking to improve your technique and vocabulary, these classes are for you.

Classes will be taught at Shamrock Music Shoppe, 108 N. 21st Street
Purcellville, VA 20132. For information, please contact Scott Kinney.
